After a 13-day layoff for Christmas, the Legion Collegiate Academy girls basketball team returned to action on Friday afternoon and was defeated by 1-of-1 Prep 74-25 in the Carolina Hoops Report Classic which is being held at United Faith Academy in Charlotte.

The Lancers fell behind early and trailed 42-10 at halftime as the sister duo of Alana and Alyssa Hankerson combined for 27 of 1-of-1 Prep's points.  Legion's sophomore guard Jaylen McMurray was the only Lancer to score in double figures as she finished the game with 11 points.  The opponent had four players in double digits, led by Alyssa Hankerson with 20, including 18 in the first half.  

The loss drops LCA's record to 3-5 heading into a second game in the Classic on Saturday.
