Freshman point guard
Amelia Williams scored 22 points to lead the Legion Collegiate Academy Girls' team to a 49-34 home win Monday night over Christ The King Catholic at The Castle. With the win, LCA evens its record at 2-2.
Williams, who has now scored 22 points in both home games this season, had 15 of her points in the first half as she helped Legion build a 29-21 lead at intermission.
Kaitlyn Garvin added 11 points as she made all three of the Lancers' 3-point field goals.
Jaylen McMurray added 8 points while
Jana Kandil scored 6, all coming in the second half.
Legion's girls team has two away games this week as they travel to Charlotte Country Day on Tuesday and York Prep for a return match on Friday. LCA defeated YPA, 47-33, in its home opener on Nov. 28.
