The 2024-25 boys basketball season didn't start the way people were expecting as the Legion Collegiate Lancers dropped its home opener 65-48 to crosstown rival Westminster Catawba Christian on Tuesday night.\
Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was
Jacob Siuta, who earned 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of
Isaiah Worley, who earned nine points in addition to five rebounds.
Cooper Brzozka also scored nine points for Legion.
The Lancers return to action on Thursday night when they host Providence Day at 6:45 p.m.
Junior Varsity Game
The Legion JV lost 38-21 to the Westminster Catawba JV in its opener.
Aiden Kimani led the Lancers with eight points while Bryan Jeudy added five.
The JV team will play Providence Day on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
