LaKiara Alexander recorded her first double-double of the season against Grace Christian in the Helen's Hot Chicken Classic this weekend, but the Legion Collegiate Academy girl's basketball team fell to Grace Christian 47-37. 

Alexander, a 6-1 junior forward, scored 16 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and made two steals as she turned in her second strong effort of the week to earn recognition as LCA's female Athlete of the Week.  

The LCA girls will return to action on Tuesday and Wednesday when they host Covenant Day and on Nov. 19 at 5:00 p.m.and Parkwood High School on Nov. 20 at 5:30 p.m.

The Lancers' record stands at 2-3.
