The Legion Collegiate Academy boy's basketball team stayed close for the first 16 minutes of the game, but Covenant Day's second half surge proved too much for the Lancers to overcome as they lost 59-38 on Tuesday night at home.
The Lancers trailed by only five points at halftime, 26-21, after battling back from an early 12-2 hole to start the game. Legion falls to 0-5 on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday night when it hosts Parkwood High School at 6:45 p.m. following the girl's game that begins at 5:00 p.m.
The Lancers were led in scoring by junior forward
Jacob Siuta's 10 points while
Maddox Cottman and
Isaiah Worley added nine points each.
