The Charlotte Catholic size advantage and pressing defense wore down the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers who fell at home, 82-49, on Tuesday night.

The Lancers, who are now 1-5 on the season, got off to a good start and played Catholic nearly even for the first quarter as they trailed just 23-19 after the visitors scored the final five points of the period.  Legion trailed 43-33 at halftime before Catholic put the game away by outscoring the Lancers 28-6 in the third quarter.

Legion was led in scoring by junior forward Jakub Siuta with 14 points and junior guard Nico Byrd with 12.  Charlotte Catholic had four double figure scorers led by Jack Siegel and King Rhodes with 17 points each.

The Lancers will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 3, when they host Carolina International School at 6:45 p.m. 

Legion JV--30; Charlotte Catholic JV--68

The Legion JV boys proved to be no match for Charlotte Catholic's JV as the Lancers fell 68-30.  High scorer for Legion was Jacob Eby with six points while Bryan Jeudy and Micah Haynes finished with five each.

The Lancers fell behind 18-10 after one quarter and trailed 38-18 at halftime.
