Senior guard Devin Long scored 12 of her game-high 21 points in the first quarter to lead Legion Collegiate Academy to a 81-51 victory over Julius Chambers in the Queen City Classic in Charlotte on Saturday.

The Lancers. ranked 6th in South Carolina this week by  MaxPreps, improve to 8-6 on the season as they prepare to face Charlotte Country Day on Tuesday night.

Long's first quarter production helped Legion jump out to a 32-11 lead. The Lancers got double figure production from two other players as juniors Aiyana Murrell scored 17 and LaKiara Alexander finished with 16.
