The Lancer triplets of
Amelia Williams,
Kaitlyn Garvin and
Jaylen McMurray combined for 58 points to lead Legion Collegiate Academy to a 74-19 win on Senior Night over South Charlotte Thunder.
Freshman guard Williams and sophomore guard Garvin scored 20 points each while McMurray added 18 for the Lancers who improve to 9-13 with the win. It was Legion's second win this week against South Charlotte Thunder.
Brianna Cook, a 5-11 center, was honored on Senior Night during pre-game ceremonies.
Legion jumped out to a 23-8 lead after the first quarter as six Lancers got into the scoring column led by McMurray's 7 points. The halftime score was 41-14. LCA continued to add to the lead in the third quarter as the Lancers scored 29 more points to take a 70-17 lead.
The Lancers will be back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 12, against 1-of-1 Prep in Indian Trail, NC at 6:00 p.m.
