Freshman guard
Amelia Williams scored a season-high 32 points to lead Legion Collegiate Academy's girls basketball team to a 69-31 home win over Legacy Early College on Friday night in the Lancers' season finale.
The victory gave Legion its 10th victory of the season as they finish with a 10-14 record.
Williams connected on six of LCA's ten 3-pointers. She scored 15 points in the first half and 17 in the second half. Sophomore guards
Jaylen McMurray and
Kaitlyn Garvin also scored in double figures as McMurray had 17 points and Garvin finished with 10.
Legion jumped out to a 20-7 lead after one quarter as Williams scored 9 first quarter points. The Lancers led 28-13 at halftime and then made it a blowout in the third quarter when they outscored LEC 25-8 to build up a 53-21 advantage.
