The Legion Collegiate Academy junior varsity softball team fell 5-1 to Weddington High School on Wednesday afternoon at Winthrop's Eagle Field.

A double by Zoe Davis drove home a run in the bottom of the first inning as the Lancers scored first, but that would be the only run Weddington pitchers allowed. Legion managed to get six hits and drew three walks in the game.  Brynley Gaa took the loss in the circle for the Lancers as she pitched five innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits while striking out four and walking one.

Lilliana Galloway led Legion at the plate as she was 2 for 2.  Davis was 1 for 3.
