The Legion Collegiate Academy varsity Lancer baseball team fell 6-3 to Carmel Christian Academy on Thursday despite out-hitting them seven to four.
The Lancers scored a run in the top of the first on a RBI single by Justin Iannetto. Carmel Christian flipped the game in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on two hits and the assist of a two-run error by the Lancer defense.
Freshman righthander
Coalson Williams got the start on the mound for Legion and allowed two hits and four runs (one earned) over three innings. He set down four batters on strikes and walked two.
Jackson Gordon and Tate Olney had the other two RBIs for Legion. Iannatto and
Tyler Rosario both went 2 for 3 at the plate while
Griffin McKain (double),
Gavin MacDonald, and Gordon each had one hit.
