The Legion Collegiate Academy girls' basketball team had its 11-game winning streak snapped on Thursday night as Greensboro Day School claimed a 69-58 win at home.
The Lancers' record slips to 17-7 with the loss.
Junior guard
Kaitlyn Garvin, who is returning to form after missing several games in November and December due to injury, led four Lancers in double figures with a team-high 17 points. She connected on six out of 10 field goals, including 5 of 8 from behind the 3-point line. Also in double digits were junior
LaKiara Alexander with 16 while
Devin Long, the team's only senior, and junior
Aiyana Murrell had 10 points each.
As a team, the Lancers made 21 of 50 field goals, including 9 of 21 from long distance, and converted 7 of 10 free throws.
Legion's girls will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Charlotte to face Butler High School at 3 p.m.
