The Legion Collegiate Academy boys' basketball team dropped its game in the Carolina Forest New Year's Tournament on Saturday as the Lancers fell 70-40 to Northmont High School out of Clayton, Ohio.

The Lancers are now 4-15 on the season.

Leading the Legion offense was Maddox Cottman with 11 points as he connected on 5 of 8 shots.  The rest of the team combined for just 13 of 50 attempts as Legion finished up making just 35 percent from the floor compared to 47 percent by Northmont (28-59). The Lancers also committeed 22 turnovers which contributed to the loss.
