The Legion Collegiate Academy girls' basketball team opened play in the She Got Game Classic in Atlanta on Saturday with a 55-37 victory over Valor Christian Academy out of Alpharetta, GA.

Kaitlyn Garvin, who missed most of the fall portion of the schedule because of injury, scored 11 points to join LaKiara Alexander in double figures. Alexander had 19 while Devin Long finished with nine.

The Lancers led 23-22 at halftime and held a 37-34 lead after three quarters, but outscored the Lions 18-3 in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

With the win, Legion improves to 15-6 on the season as it continues to play in the She Got Game Classic on Sunday.
