Senior guard Devin Long scored 21 points to lead the 25th ranked Legion Collegiate girls' basketball team to its 10th consecutive victory with a 65-8 blowout win over visiting Mountain View Prep on Tuesday night.

Long reached a milestone during the second half when she scored her 1,000th career point. She is is in her first year at Legion after playing previously in New Rochelle, NY, and United Faith Christian Academy and Olympic High School in Charlotte.

The Legion girls raced out to a 22-0 lead after one quarter and led 44-1 at halftime. Ten different Lancers got into the scoring column in the first half. The second half was played with a running clock.

With the win, LCA is now 16-6 on the season and is ranked 25th this week by MaxPreps. The Lancers are scheduled to host South Charlotte Thunder at 5:15 p.m. on Friday and Butler High School out of Charlotte on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
