Butler led 24-21 after a physical first half of action, but Legion was able to turn up its intensity in the third quarter, both on the offensive and defensive ends, to outscore its opponent 17-10 to claim a 38-34 lead heading into the final period.  The Lancers continued to build the lead in the fourth quarter and had its largest lead of the game at 13 with under three minutes remaining.  Led by junior LaKiara's 13 fourth quarter points, including eight made free throws, Legion was able to hold off a late Butler charge that saw the Lancers' lead shrink to three points in the final minute.
