The Legion Collegiate junior varsity and varsity boys' volleyball teams had little trouble in winning their home openers on Wednesday night over Olympic High School out of Charlotte.

The Lancers are now 2-0 and will be home again on Monday, March 24, when they host Marvin Ridge High School beginning at 5:30 with the JV.

Against Olympic, Landon Totherow and Landon Hickson led the offense as they combined for 19 service aces.  Totherow had 11 aces and Hickson added eight. Reagan Knight also had five aces as the Lancers won the match 2-0 (25-5, 25-5)

The Lancer varsity won 3-0 (25-8, 25-6, 25-15) behind the performances of setter Nate DeSa and outside hitter Ian Burke.  DeSa had 15 assists, six kills, and two service aces while Burke finished with 11 kills, four digs, four assists and one ace. Jacob Johnson also had a strong match with nine aces and seven kills.
