The 2025 flag football season got underway on Sunday at the Thomas McAlister Winget Park in Charlotte for the two Legion Collegiate Academy teams who are entered in the NFL sponsored league.  According to head coach Lance Roberts, who leads the Seahawk squad, "We played the 49ers in the opening game and got beat 19-12 by probably one of the best teams in Charlotte. They went undefeated last year and won the tournament  championship as well. 

"Two officials came up to me and were very complimentary. They knew the reputation of the other team. For it being our first competition against someone other than ourselves, I was very proud of their effort and composure.  We learned a lot about ourselves and nuances of the game we had not seen in practices.
