The Legion Collegiate boys golf team fell to the Westminster Catawba Indians on Thursday in the season-opening match at Waterford Golf Course.

The Indians, who were led by low scorer Conner Williamson's 9-hole round of 39, defeated the Lancers 169 to 183. Legion's low score was turned in by Tommy Barth with a 43.

The Lancers' next match will be on March 10 against Providence Day at Cedarwood Golf Course in Charlotte.
