The Legion Collegiate Academy varsity boys volleyball team ran up against a tough Covenant Day Lions squad on Tuesday and lost 3-0 to end its unbeaten season.
The loss in straight sets (21-25, 24-26, 18-25) drops the Lancers' record to 5-1. The junior varsity team also lost its match to the Lions 2-0 by the set scores of 12-25, 22-25 to drop to 4-2.
The varsity was led by junior setter Nate DeSa who collected 28 assists, four kills and one block, and senior outside hitter
Ian Burke who had 13 kills, two digs, a block, an assist, and one service ace.
In the JV match,
Landon Totherow had five kills and four digs while
Aiden Littlejohn made five kills, and
Levi Santos had collected seven assists.
Legion's next match will be on April 8 at Marvin Ridge High School with the JV starting at 5:00 p.m. followed by the varsity at approximately 6:00.
