The Legion Collegiate Academy boys' volleyball team defeated Ardrey Kell High School 3-1 on Thursday to improve to 6-2 on the season.
The Lancers dropped the first set, but fought back to win the next three sets to take the match 19-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-21.
Senior ian Burke led the Lancers with a big night both offensively and defensively as he had 17 kills, 10 digs, four assists, three blocks, and one service ace.
Jacob Johnson was right behind with 15 kills, six digs, and two aces. Setter Nate DeSa handed out 13 assists, and contributed four aces, four kills, three blocks, and two digs.
The Legion varsity will compete at the Riverside High school tournament this Saturday in Durham, NC.
The next home match will be on Tuesday, April 29, when the Lancers face Ballantyne Ridge on Senior Night following the JV match which starts at 5:30 p.m.
