Legion Collegiate's girls soccer team lost to the state's 21st ranked team, Pinewood Prep, 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon in the final game of the Nike Palmetto Cup.

"We played really well and dominated the second half, but we were unable to capitalize on a breakaway with three minutes left that would have tied the game," said head coach Jim Fi nnerty.

The Lancers' goal was scored by Makayla Colberg.

Legion's season record now stands at 10-6-2. The Lancers' next scheduled game is April 18 at home against Atlantic Collegiate Academy beginning at 5:30 p.m.
