Legion Collegiate Academy's lacrosse team defeated Frederick Douglas High School, one of the top five schools in Kentucky, 6-5 in Overtime on Friday night for its seventh straight victory.
The Lancers are now 10-9 and will continue their Spring Break trip to Cincinnati today for a game against LaSalle High School.
Jaxson Smithers scored the game-winning goal in the overtime to complete the comeback win.The Lancers trailed 4-2 at halftime, but the defense led by
Carson Ryan,
Jackson Howard, Ryan Walker,
Tyler Gindoff, and
Thomas Woodard only allowed one goal in the second half.
Carter Fields had seven saves in the goal.
