Legion Collegiate Academy's baseball team was one-hit Tuesday night and lost to Hickory Grove Christian, 4-0, to snap a six-game winning streak.

The Lancers are now 17-9 on the season.

Hickory Grove pitcher Ben Green surrounded one hit, a single by Kayden Blackwelder, while striking out eight and walking five Lancers in six innings.

Hickory Grove Christian got on the board in the first inning after Jack Dwyer doubled home a run. Green's pitching made that run stand up and Hickory Grove added a single run in the third inning  on a fielder's choice by Van Pelow extended the lead to 2-0.

Cam Towell started on the mound for Legion and allowed two hits and one run over two innings to take the loss.

Next up for Legion is a game at Concord Academy on Thursday night.  The Lancer will honor its seniors on Friday when they host Atlantic Collegiate Academy at Winthrop's Founders Field beginning at 6:00 p.m.
