The Legion Collegiate Academy baseball team easily dispatched Concord Academy on Thursday, 11-1, in a game called after 5 innings.

Legion improved to 18-9 with the victory.

Legion jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning and added five more in the second on two hits. Matthew Pond's two-run homer made it 9-0 in the third inning.

Ryan Brakstad earned the win for the Lancers as he did not allow a hit over three innings, striking out four and walking two. #12 took the loss for Concord Academy. The reliever went three innings, giving up four runs on three hits, striking out none and walking none. Briggs Lee appeared in relief to pitch the final two innings.

Seven different Lancers had hits in the game, including Hunter Riordan, Jackson Gordon, Justin Iannetto, Colin Tuttle, Kayden Blackwelder, DJ Douglas, and Pond. The Lancers ran wild on the base paths as they collected seven stolen bases, including four by Iannetto. 

The Lancers return home on Friday to face Union Academy at Winthrop's Founders Field.  It will be Senior Night for seven Lancers who will be honored during pregame festivities starting at 5:00 p.m.  The game is set to start at 6:00 p.m.
