Legion Collegiate Academy

Dustin Martin brings over a decade of experience in coaching, leadership, and athletic administration across both public and independent school systems to the Director of Athletics position at Legion Collegiate Academy.

Before accepting the role of Athletic Director in April, Coach Martin most recently served as the Football Program Director and Head Football Coach at Cannon School, where he led the team to multiple playoff appearances and oversaw key athletic administrative duties. Coach Martin is also a familiar face at Legion Collegiate Academy, where he previously served as a Physical Education teacher and Director of Strength and Conditioning.

He is highly regarded for building and sustaining a culture of excellence, where student-athletes are prepared not only for success on the field but also for leadership off it. He places a strong emphasis on character development, structure, and accountability through his holistic coaching philosophy. Under his leadership, 31 student-athletes have earned opportunities to play at the collegiate level, with several participating in premier all-star games such as the Army All-American Bowl and the Queen City Senior Bowl.

A former offensive lineman at Limestone University, Coach Martin's playing experience provides a comprehensive perspective on athletics. He holds a B.S. in Physical Education from Winthrop University and an M.S. in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.

Coach Martin is a firm believer in Jesus Christ and strives to keep his faith at the center of everything he does. His relationship with Christ guides how he leads, serves, and pursues excellence in every area of life. Outside of athletics, he enjoys playing golf, traveling with his wife Kathryn, and discovering great food spots.

Coach Martin is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment for education-based sports programs. He is focused on strengthening relationships within the school community, enhancing athletic operations, and continuing to build a culture rooted in integrity, discipline, and hard work.
